Description

Can waste become art? The 'Art from recovery' exhibition proves that creativity and recycling go hand in hand, transforming discarded materials into artistic masterpieces. Organised by the School Anti-Smog Team and the Student Council, the exhibition features artworks made from recycled materials and eco-posters promoting circular economy principles and responsible consumption.
This event is part of the grand opening of the Green Lab, 'In the land of color and scent,' one of the school’s most anticipated events of the year.
Grand opening – a major community event
Guests, including school representatives, local community members, and media, will have the opportunity to admire unique student-created artworks and see how creativity can contribute to environmental protection. The exhibition will be open to all residents, encouraging them to reflect on how they can change daily habits to reduce waste and minimise their impact on air quality.
What can you see at the exhibition?
- Artistic objects made from reclaimed materials – creative projects crafted from plastic, glass, paper, and textiles, demonstrating how seemingly useless items can inspire artistic expression.
- Eco-posters promoting recycling, responsible consumption, and resource conservation.
- Interactive installations highlighting the issue of waste overproduction and the potential for reuse.
Recycling as art and education
Beyond showcasing student creativity, the exhibition invites reflection on how everyday consumer choices impact the environment. Through artistic expression, it becomes easier to understand that changing consumption habits is essential for the planet's future.
'Art from recovery' merges education, creativity, and environmental consciousness, demonstrating that recycling doesn’t stop at the waste bin but can inspire something new, beautiful, and meaningful.
This event is organised as part of the LIFE project 'Silesia. Blue Sky Restored.'
