Highlights include a public event showcasing the Bio-Waste 5 Regions Project, encouraging composting and green waste collection; and a session on the “EU for Circular Economy in Serbia” initiative, focused on local leadership and technical support for circular economy integration.
A media panel and photo exhibition will share environmental best practices from across Europe, while Europe House Novi Sad will host a public bike tour and a sustainable fashion workshop. In Niš, proposed activities include a public event on urban circular solutions, an eco-awareness event for children titled “Owl Night,” and a recycled art workshop for teenagers.
The week also features a major joint event in Belgrade, co-hosted by the Ministry of Environmental Protection, the EU Delegation, and UNDP Serbia, marking World Environment Day with panels, exhibitions, and educational sessions focused on reducing plastic pollution and advancing circular solutions.
