Description

Can waste become new treasures? ‘Green picnic: mission recycling!’ is an event that, through fun activities and creative workshops, shows that recycling is not just an obligation but an inspiring adventure.
Creative recycling workshops – ‘Toys from recycled materials’
During the workshop, children will handcraft toys using materials that can be repurposed, such as paper, plastic, and fabric. This is a great way to demonstrate that items we often discard as waste can have a second life, turning into a source of creative play.
Outdoor educational game – ‘Eco scavenger hunt in the park’
In this outdoor adventure, participants will become resource hunters, looking for marked locations where they will find recyclable materials. Once collected, they will complete tasks related to proper waste segregation. This interactive challenge teaches how to handle waste responsibly while promoting outdoor activity and teamwork.
Why is this event important?
- Hands-on circular economy education: children learn by doing, discovering how materials can be reused.
- Awareness of waste impact: the event highlights how improper waste management affects air quality and the environment.
- Eco-friendly habits from a young age: through creative actions, children develop habits that support sustainability.
‘Green picnic: mission recycling!’ blends education and active play, inspiring young participants to adopt eco-friendly practices early in life. This event is organised as part of the LIFE project ‘Silesia. Blue sky restored.’
