Valérie Drezet-Humez is Director for General Affairs, Knowledge and Resources at the Directorate-General for Environment (DG ENV) in the European Commission. She leads teams in charge of briefings, inter-institutional relations, communication, IT solutions, coordination of the implementation of the LIFE programme and Horizon Europe, monitoring the activities of the European Environment Agency, and dealing with financial, budgetary and audit matters.
Specialised in European law, Ms Drezet-Humez has over three decades of experience in European affairs, with a strong background in environmental policy and European governance. She has contributed to a wide range of areas within the Commission, from environment to Policy Assistant to Directors-General; she was Head of Unit at the Secretariat-General Commission’s Registry, and later for the Briefings for the President and the Vice-Presidents; she then became Director, heading the Commission Representation in France.
